Boa constrictor – squeeze power


Boa constrictors are one of the largest snakes in the world. It hunts by ambush – meaning that it hides and then suddenly attacks its prey. The Boa constrictor will coil around and then squeeze the life of the captured meal.

Where do they live?: Central and South america
What do they eat? birds, eggs, frogs, rodents, small mammals
How big are they? 1 to 4 m
How long do they live?  20 to 30-year
What is its creature power? Ability to squeeze (constrict) so tightly that its prey will stop breathing
